Join us for a free, family-friendly, fun event!
When: May 4th
Rescheduled to May 11th
Time: 9:30am – 11:00am
Where: Market Days in Uptown Columbus.
60 birdhouses have been decorated by local celebrities, Habitat supporters and artists. We will auction them off and raise funds to continue our work of eliminating poverty housing in Columbus.
A Feathered Affair is a family-friendly event and will have fun for kids too.
Home Depot has provided birdhouse kits for children to create.
A Feathered Affair is to engage the community and educate them about how Habitat is working in the Fountain City. Columbus Area Habitat for Humanity creates partnerships to construct and sell housing for those in need; building in communities that will be strengthened by these volunteer efforts. Columbus Area Habitat for Humanity also seeks to raise awareness of critical housing issues; motivated by the belief that everyone should have, at least, a simple decent house in which to live. Houses are sold at no profit, with no-interest mortgages repaid over a twenty year period. House payments are used to continue to build more houses in Columbus.
