St. Anne Catholic Church will hold a Blessing of the Animals on Friday, October 4, 2013, from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m., near the flagpole in the parking lot.

The general public is invited to bring their pets (with the exception of snakes), as St. Anne Catholic Church Pastor Rev. Jeremiah McCarthy and Parochial Vicar Rev. Jacob Almeter will offer a special blessing for family and their pet.
The tradition of blessing animals is conducted in remembrance of St. Francis of Assisi’s love for all creatures and is customarily celebrated on St. Francis’ Feast Day, October 4.
