Chattahoochee RiverWarden sponsors rain barrel auction as part of Artbeat of Columbus
Want to save money, enjoy a beautiful piece of art, and help the environment? Then join Chattahoochee RiverWarden at Outside World on Friday, March 15 at 6 p.m., and purchase a rain barrel painted by talented regional artists including Ralph Frank, Florence Neal, Columbus State University Art Department students and faculty, and many others.
This event, which is part of Artbeat of Columbus, will be hosted by WRBL’s Bob Jeswald. Reception and preview begin at 6 p.m., with the auction following at 6:30. Admission is free.
Rain barrels save most homeowners about 1,300 gallons of water each summer—free water that can be used on flower beds and lawns during times of drought. You save money while reducing the amount of runoff flowing into storm drains, and that keeps oil, pesticide, and fertilizer out of our streams.
Bring home a one-of-a-kind work of art that will not only be appreciated for many years to come, but will improve your yard, conserve water, and protect the river.
