St Francis Women’s Center has created a series of childbirth classes to facilitate the educational needs of expectant mothers. We are excited to share in your birth experience and look forward to meeting you and your support person in our classes. In the 4 week childbirth education series we will cover topics such as:
- fetal development
- nutrition
- stages of labor
- comfort measures
- epidural
- vaginal delivery
- cesarean delivery
- postpartum care
- newborn care
We will also practice breathing, relaxation and massage techniques each week. Classes are taught by experienced nursing professionals certified in prenatal education. Our classes are open to all expecting families in the community.
