Welcome to Muscogee Moms 2014-2015 Choice Awards Contest!
On November 5, 2014, we kick off our 5th annual Choice Awards contest! If you missed last year’s contest, you can see our winners here.
The Muscogee Moms team has developed a list of 39 categories which are specific to the lives of parents in Columbus, GA and Phenix City, AL. You will see a few new/edited categories this year! We have tweaked the categories based on suggestions and ideas from our readers and the businesses who were previously nominated.
Nominations begin November 5, 2014!
All MMoms newsletter subscribers will receive a link in their newsletter to the Survey on where you can nominate businesses for each category. NEW this year… only MMoms email subscribers will receive a link to the Nomination survey! The link will not be posted elsewhere. (If you are not currently a member of our newsletter club, click here to subscribe. It’s FREE!) Nominations will end on November 25, 2014.
Nominations will be tallied and the top three nominees in each category will be posted as the finalists on the MMoms website on December 10, 2014, along with a link to the Voting Ballot. At that point, the general public can then vote on the finalists. Voting will take place through January 6, 2015. Votes will be tallied and the winning businesses will then be announced on January 21, 2015.
The goal of our Choice Awards is to provide our readers with a list of the best businesses and venues on which families can rely in our area. We look forward to showcasing these businesses on our site. If you are a business owner, or are a fan of a local business, be sure to help spread the word to others to nominate your business! Remember… Only the top three nominees in each category will make it to the final voting round.

So now what? Spread the word! Tell others to subscribe and nominate, and then watch for your top three picks to be posted for final voting.
2014 Choice Awards Timeline:
Nov. 5 – Nominations begin. Newsletter subscribers will be sent a link to nominate businesses in each category above.
Nov. 12 – A Second newsletter will be sent out with a link to Constant Contact for anyone who did not receive it the first week.
Nov. 19 – A Third (and FINAL) link to the Nomination ballot will be included in our weekly Newsletter.
Nov. 25 – Nominations end — and the tallying begins.
Dec. 10 – Nominations are tallied and the top three businesses in each category will be published on the website as finalists.
Dec. 10 – A link to the ballot will be placed on our website. Finalist voting is now open to the public and everyone may vote on their favorite choice from each category.
Jan. 6 – Voting ends.
Jan. 21 – Winners are published on the website and in a special newsletter. Each winning business will receive a “winner seal”, as well as a choice of a free email blast or a dedicated mini-blog on Muscogee Moms.
