Columbus Botanical Garden Presents: Garden to Table – Fall and Winter Vegetables
Learn how to extend your vegetable growing season at the Columbus Botanical Garden! As summer slides into autumn, it’s time to start planting fall and winter vegetables. Columbus’ mild autumn temperatures are perfect for growing nutrient-rich veggies like kale, cauliflower, cabbage, collards, broccoli, Bok choy, spinach, turnips, and more!
Jenny Jackson of Jenny Jack Sun Farm will discuss variety selection, planting plus protection strategies. Afterwards, cooking instructor, Alexis Veigas, will create a delicious meal filled with late season veggies sure to get you excited about “cooking up fall!”
