Did you know that all cultures create art using materials from their own environments? Just like us, people use what is around them to make art! During this week, your camper is invited to join us on a trip through our culture and other cultures to see firsthand how people craft things. We will make Adinkra Cloth from Ghana and study Mehndi design from India. We will use real fish to print like they do in Japan and will paint on bark as they do in Mexico. We will also learn how the Native Americans made art using buffalo hides as we depict part of our own culture through traditional craft methods!
