Take part in the Columbus Museum’s photography competition and exhibition,
Now and Then III: Community Photo Conest.
Participation is free and simple.
The top 20 entries will be featured in the exhibition, which opens at the Museum on March 19th. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers will be announced during the opening reception March 24th.
The Competition: A range of historic photos, each revealing unique aspects of our region’s past, have been selected from the Columbus State University Archives.
Now, it’s your turn to document our culture.
First, become a part of the Museum’s Flickr page. Then head out to capture your present-day interpretation. All entries must reference one of these historic images in a manner that broadly addresses the them of Columbus “now” and Columbus “then.” Upload your images to the Museum’s Flickr page — entries will be accepted through January 31, 2011.
The Exhibition: A panel of judges will select photographs uploaded to the Museum’s Flickr page based on creativity, composition and technical quality. Twenty works will be selected for exhibition in the Columbus Museum starting March 19, 2011. The top three photographs will be announced during an opening reception March 24, 2011.
