Visit the National Civil War Naval Museum for their newest event, Cool History: Naval Technology, which focuses on the innovations in naval technology during the American Civil War. Kids will love being a part of Powder Monkey Academy where they will train under Captain Scatterbrains be led through a scavenger hunt, artifact excavation, ship model making and a buoyancy experiment to understand the foundation of Naval technology! There’s even more fun for everyone with the Museum’s new bike tours, a museum tour and an enlightening lecture on technological advances in both Navies during the Civil War.
