These little mini pallet coasters are super cute and easy to make. Give them as gifts for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day or Teacher Appreciation Day.
Materials Needed:
- 23 plain popsicle craft sticks
- Glue gun and extra glue sticks
- Tempera or Acrylic Paint (your choice of colors)
- Paint brush
- Mod Podge
- Protective covering for your work surface
Directions:
Start by covering your work surface with old newspaper or plastic. I used a disposable vinyl table cloth leftover from a birthday party.
Next, paint the craft sticks with the color of your choice. Do both sides and let dry. (Time tip: If you’re in a hurry, buy colored craft sticks and skip this step completely.)
Once the sticks are dry, start by gluing three sticks together to create a log. Glue together two more sets of three sticks. These three logs will be the support for your mini pallet.
Assemble the mini pallet coaster together using the hot glue gun as shown above. Glue the small boards onto the pallet in an even fashion until your little pallet is fully assembled.
Seal your mini pallet with a protective coat of mod podge. Personally I prefer a high gloss finish, so I gave mine four coats.
Let dry thoroughly.
Enjoy!
