Do your kids love collecting pinecones? Why not turn them into adorable pinecone hedgehogs?
Supplies for Pinecone Hedgehogs Craft:
- Pinecones
- Brown Cardstock
- Green Cardstock
- Eye stickers or Googly eyes (medium)
- Black Sharpie Pen
- Stapler
- Glue
- Scissors
Directions:
First, draw a circle onto green cardstock. Make the circle just big enough for your hedgehog to sit inside. Then draw an outer circle about an inch bigger and cut it out.
Next, make your hedgehog’s head by cutting out a brown circle about the same size as your inner green circle.
To make the grass snip all around the outer green circle up to the inner circle.
Fold your cut green strips upwards to make a grass circle for your pinecone hedgehog to snuffle in.
To make your pinecone hedgehog’s face, make a cut in the brown circle from the edge to the center. Curl the circle around itself to make a cone and staple or glue into place. Make sure the cone is the right size to fit onto the end of your pinecone before you staple it.
Give your hedgehog a cute face using your eye stickers and a black marker pen to draw the ears, nose, and mouth.
Glue the face onto your pinecone hedgehog body, then sit your spiky friend inside his little grassy home. Adorable!
