CSU Summer Spectacular 2014

This program provided by CSU Early Childhood majors gives opportunities for learning by area children (4-11 years) and undergraduates as they work together to learn about and create the environment for the chosen theme.

Monday – Thursday | 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Downtown Elementary School, Columbus

2014 Dates

• Week 1: June 9 – June 12
• Week 2: June 16 –  June 19
• Week 3: June 23- June 26
• Week 4: June 30 – July 3

Topic: Space

Cost: $40/week per child or $140 for all four weeks (Must register for all 4 weeks at the beginning for discounted rate. Cost includes a t-shirt, all supplies, & snacks.

• Offer children an alternative, fun learning opportunity.
• Provide a service to the community.
• Offer CSU education majors valuable teaching experience during the summer.

The program benefits CSU, the COEHP, its students aspiring to teach and, most importantly, the children who attend.

• Enjoying active, enriched learning experiences. (The program’s so much fun, they might not even realize it’s educational.)
• Having all this fun with children they might not otherwise meet.
• Improving their thinking skills — what the experts call cognitive development.
• Becoming more independent and, in the process, boosting their self esteem.

Registration is on first-come, first-served basis. If registration fills, a waiting list will be developed and you will be notified if your child is on the waiting list.
