Benefits of attending
CSU’s College of Education and Health Professions developed Summer Spectacular to:
- Offer children an alternative, fun learning opportunity.
- Provide a service to the community.
- Offer CSU education majors valuable teaching experience during the summer.
The program benefits CSU, the COEHP, its students aspiring to teach and, most importantly, the children who attend.
Children benefit by:
- Enjoying active, enriched learning experiences. (The program’s so much fun, they might not even realize it’s educational.)
- Having all this fun with children they might not otherwise meet.
- Improving their thinking skills — what the experts call cognitive development.
- Becoming more independent and, in the process, boosting their self esteem.
