All courses are held at the Elizabeth Bradley Turner Center (EBTC) at Columbus State University. The EBTC is located on the corner of East Lindsay Drive and College Drive in Columbus.
Everyday Handywoman: Tools 101
Learn the many types and purposes of hand tools, and how to use them safely. You’ll get hands-on experience with drills, power screwdrivers, saws, and other tools to make your next DIY project a breeze. Bring you own tool box or use ours. For safety reasons, loose or flowing tops and open-toed shoes are not recommended.

Everyday Handywoman: Basic Electricity
You are in for the shock of your life when you realize how simple many basic electrical projects can be. After some basic instruction, you’ll get to try your hand at repairing or replacing a wall outlet, a light switch, and other household electrical items. Learn what you can do yourself, and what should be left for a licensed electrician.

Running toilet? Leaky faucet? Don’t call the plumber – fix it yourself! This class will let you get your hands dirty as well as enjoy toilet training together! We’ll discuss the many plumbing jobs that you can handle yourself, as well as when to call in the professionals.
