Fireworks at Samford Stadium in Auburn
What: Auburn Parks and Recreation Department – Annual Fourth of July Celebration
When: Wednesday, July 4 behind the home side of Duck Samford Stadium.
Cost: This FREE community event is open to all ages.
Time: Gates open at 6 p.m., followed by live music at 7 p.m.
Be sure to stick around for one of THE best fireworks displays in the area beginning at 9 p.m.
Planning to attend the event? Visit www.auburnalabama.org/parks to view a map of the event. Attendees should note the parking lot off Airport Road, between the Bo Cavin Fields and the new Duck Samford Fields, will be CLOSED to the public during the event as part of the fireworks shoot site. The parking lot on East University Drive near the old Duck Samford Fields will be OPEN to the public for parking.
Additional information: Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket and picnic basket to celebrate our nation’s birthday with a night full of live entertainment, fun activities, and free goodies courtesy of Briggs & Stratton. If you’re looking to take a break from cooking for the evening, purchase food on-site from Country’s Barbecue. Children will enjoy free balloon art, courtesy of dRMagic. The Annual Fourth of July Celebration is a family-friendly event. No alcohol or glass bottles are permitted.
This year’s musical entertainment will feature The Answer Band. A regular on the wedding, corporate event, college, and private party scene, this crowd favorite performs hits from Motown, soul, and funk classics. Familiar songs such as “Supersition,” “Mustang Sally,” “My Girl,” and more make up a long list of cover songs sure to please all ages and musical tastes. Don’t miss a toe-tapping, two hour set of music sure to get you on your feet and dancing to the sounds of The Answer Band.
In the event of rain, the fireworks display will be held on Thursday, July 5 at 9 p.m.
