Historic Westville announces it’s annual Fourth of July Celebration of Independence.

Come enjoy blue grass music, cold watermelon, barbeque, and friendly competition. Visitors are invited to compete in the sack races, the three-legged races, watermelon eating contest and the watermelon seed spitting contest. The more adventurous may try to climb the greased pole to snag the cash at the top. Every hour on the hour we’ll “blow the anvil” sky high to mark our nation’s birthday.
Tour the 1850s historic village, ride the mule wagon, enjoy the crafts demonstrations, and visit the museum store.
Location: Westville is located in Lumpkin, just 35 miles south of Columbus, GA off US 27. Hours of operation are 10 AM to 5 PM Thursday- Saturday and 1-5pm Sunday.
Admission: Adults $10; Seniors, Military & College (w/ID) $8; and Children (K-12th Grade) $5; Pre-K FREE.
