Freedom Singers Perform at the Albany Civil Rights Museum
Every second Saturday, the Freedom Singers, led by the original SNCC Freedom Singer Rutha Harris, perform in the fully restored Old Mount Zion Baptist Church on the campus of the Albany Civil Rights Institute. The Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC) was one of the most important organizations of the American Civil Rights Movement in the 1960s.
