It’s the annual Great Backyard Bird Count in Warm Springs and Pine Mountain. Round up your family and visit one of three count locations listed below. Children can document the migratory birds that visit Georgia during winter months. It’s cheap, fun and easy–and it helps our feathered friends.

The Pine Mountain Ridge was named an Important Bird Area (IBA) by they National Audubon Society. Migratory birds use the unique habitat as a safe haven in the winter, and nesting birds use it for breeding in the summer. Click here to download a checklist of the species of birds to be counted.
