‘Tis the season for sustainable gift giving!
Kick off the holiday season at Oxbow Meadows where we’ll have an entire day of eco-friendly holiday cheer. Enjoy free light refreshments including shade grown coffee and hot chocolate, both environmentally-reponsible gifts that will be available for purchase, as well as local honey and jewelry crafted from recycled material. Specially wrapped Adopt-a-Critter packages will be also be available, allowing you to give the gift of nature to a child, teacher, or anyone who loves animals.

Sign up for the Wreath Making class at 10am, and learn how to incorporate backyard greenery and wildflowers into your holiday decor. Class size is limited to 20, so sign up today! Tuition is $30 and includes all materials to make a wreath during the class. Ages 12 years and up are welcome! To sign up call 706-507-8553 or send an email to [email protected].
Staff naturalists will be on hand throughout the day to chat about Oxbow’s animals and gardens. At 11am, noon and 1pm, they’ll present Show & Tail, offering a chance to learn about some of our amazing wetland animals up close.
Santa will spend the day with us, and he’s bringing along some very special helpers. Photos with Santa and his woodland friends will be available for $10, and all proceeds will go to food, medical care and habitat enrichment for Oxbow’s animals. Santa will be available from 10am until 3pm.
