Local IHOP National Pancake Day festivities to benefit Children’s Miracle Network at The Medical Center
Tuesday, February 28, 2012, 7 a.m. until 10 p.m.
Area IHOP restaurants are joining their counterparts nationwide to serve millions of pancakes in celebration of National Pancake Day!
IHOP customers can enjoy a free short stack of IHOP’s famous buttermilk pancakes and, in turn, will be asked to make a donation to their local Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) hospital. All proceeds raised from participating IHOP restaurants in the local area will be donated to Children’s Miracle Network at The Medical Center.
IHOP is proud to partner with Children’s Miracle Network and The Medical Center as these organizations share similar goals and values – improving the lives of families in the communities they serve.
Participating IHOP restaurants in the area include:
- 2111 Airport Thruway , Columbus, GA 31904-9050
- 2939 North Lake Parkway, Columbus, GA 31909-2519
- 6317 Talokas Lane, Columbus, GA 31909
- 3747 Highway 431 N , Phenix City, AL 36867-2363
- 1463 Opelika Rd, Auburn, AL 36830
Special festivities are planned for Monday, February 27 and Tuesday, February 28 to commemorate the event. On Monday, Feb. 27, at 7 a.m., three local leaders will square off in friendly pancake flipping and stacking contests at the IHOP on Airport Thruway. The contestants will include Columbus Mayor Teresa Tomlinson, The Medical Center President/CEO Lance Duke, and Dr. Joseph Zanga, the Chief of Pediatric services at The Medical Center.
Children’s Miracle Network at The Medical Center was established in 1995. Since then, it has raised more than $3 million. Every dollar raised by Children’s Miracle Network at The Medical Center stays in the community to help children treated at The Medical Center. The Medical Center is one of 170 Children’s Miracle Network hospitals in North America and only one of six hospitals in Georgia.
