Smell the cane juice being cooked into syrup. Hear the crackling of the fires. See the leaves turning and the snow white cotton being ginned. In our three kitchens we will bake with cane syrup, cook with peanuts and preserve summer’s bounty the old fashioned way. Muscogee Creek Indians will demonstrate traditional ways of storing food for the winter.
Historic Westville’s historic cotton gin will be up and running, the blacksmith will be pounding iron, the tin smith will be hammering tin and we’ll be dipping candles, spinning cotton, and working wood.
