Muscogee County 2011-2012 Pre-K Registration
The month of March is the time for parents to register their children for Pre-K. Registration applications may be obtained and completed at all neighborhood elementary schools and the Muscogee County Public Education Center, 2960 Macon Road.
The Pre–K program is open to students who are four years old on or before September 1, 2011. All parents or legal guardians should bring to the registration their proof of address*, verification of the child’s date of birth and the child’s social security card.
Because space is limited, the classes are filled randomly. Priority is given to students living within a school’s attendance zone and making an application in March. Parents and legal guardians will be notified of school assignments in May.
We are committed to quality programs for our young children and look forward to providing a positive experience for your child. For more information contact the Pre-K Office at 706-748-2147 or ktentler@mcsdga.net or astephens@mcsdga.net.
*Proof of Address – Current utility bill and one of the following documents:
- Valid residential lease or rental agreement
- Current property tax statement
- Property deed
- Settlement statement for the home
Note: Both documents must indicate parent’s name and address. If none of these documents are available in the parent’s name due to living with someone else, a notarized Affidavit of Residency must be completed by both the owner/tenant and the parent. The owner/tenant must provide the documents required for proof of address. The Affidavit of Residency must be completed at the Public Education Center, Department of Student Services, Central Registration and both parties are required to be present.
