Proceeds from the Burrito Run will benefit the Lopez family’s mission to start the first MyChurch in Guadalajara, Mexico.
Carlos Lopez grew up on the streets of Guadalajara, Mexico and was the primary provider for his family of six by the time he was ten years old. Carlos has held almost every labor type job you can think of from factory worker, produce vendor, landscaper, dishwasher, and painter – just to name a few. In 2011, just a few years after Carlos became a Christian, the Lord made it very clear that Carlos was to start a church in the city he worked so hard to leave. His dream is to equip young disciples with the Gospel and help ricochet them all over Mexico.
Carlos and his wife, Karlisa, who grew up in Columbus, Georgia, plan to move to Guadalajara in November 2013 to start the first Mi Iglesia (My Church) in Mexico. Please click here for more details about the Lopez family and their mission.
