National Women’s Check Up Day
In honor of National Women’s Check Up Day, St. Francis Women’s Hospital is hosting a day of FREE health screenings Tuesday, May 20. The event, held from 3:30-6:30 p.m., in the Sara Ruth Carroll Auditorium (Butler Pavilion), offers a wide range of free screenings, including blood pressure, body mass index, weight, hearing, stroke, depression, foot, carotid and many more.
Local physicians will host mini breakout sessions to share information and answer questions about women’s health.

- Breast Cancer Screenings | 5:15 p.m. | Dr. Wade Wallace
- Healthy Eating While Pregnant | 6 p.m. | Dr. Christine Ruehl
Health experts will also be available from St. Francis Rehabilitation, HPRC, St. Francis Center for Breast Health, St. Francis OBGYN Associates, St. Francis OBGYN Physician Partners, St. Francis Center for Digestive Disorders, St. Francis Spine Center, St. Francis Pain Management, St. Francis Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgery and Pastoral Institute.

National Women’s Check-up Day is a nationwide effort, coordinated by the US Department of Health and Human Services, to promote regular check-ups for the early detection of heart disease, diabetes, cancer, mental health illness, sexually transmitted diseases and other conditions, many of the leading causes of women’s death can be prevented or successfully treated if warning signs are caught early enough.
The event is open to all women in the community. No reservation is necessary. Free valet parking will be available. Self-parking areas are located behind the hospital, accessible via St. Francis Avenue.
