Nature Walks at Oxbow Meadows
On the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month, an Oxbow Meadows naturalist will lead groups on a wetland nature walk. Walkers will check out plants, birds and other wildlife. Beginners are welcome and encouraged!
Please wear sturdy shoes, long sleeved shirts, long trousers, sunglasses and a hat. Be sure to use insect repellent and sunscreen! Feel free to bring your field guide and binoculars. If you don’t have any, loaners can be provided free of charge.
When: 2nd & 4th Saturday of the month @ 8:00 am – September through May*
Where: Oxbow Meadows, 3535 South Lumpkin Road
Cost: Free
*No walks are scheduled for Thanksgiving and Christmas weekends.
