Nautical Program
Description of event for the public Activities will be on hand to share FDR’s love of sailing. There will be the opportunity to learn how a compass and sextant works.
Visitors can also participate in a rain gutter race and learn about knot tying. A model of the USS Potomac which was President Roosevelt’s ship will be on display, and Mr. Paul Harless who served on the USS Potomac will be in attendance througout the day. There will also be a talk on President Roosevelt’s and his interest in the sea.
