Spookley the Square Pumpkin, was hatched square and different from the other round pumpkins, but finds encouragement from other friends, three highly entertaining spiders, Edgar, Allen, and Poe, Jack the Scarecrow, and Boris and Bella Bat. Unfortunate, Big Tom and Little Tom don’t see it that way and they undertake to do everything they can to stand in Spookley’s way. When disaster strikes and a terrible storm sends al the pumpkins helplessly rolling–all except one, however–Spookley realizes it comes in handy to be different.
Recommended for ages 3-6.
