Lace up your tennis shoes! Load up your strollers! It’s time for the 23rd Annual Walk Classic for the Open Door Community House.
Saturday, March 13, 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Please register at The OPEN DOOR COMMUNITY HOUSE (in Columbus) at 8:30 a.m.
The walk will begin at 2405 2nd Avenue at OPEN DOOR. It will extend to The Phenix City and Columbus Riverwalk. Activities will include live music, a motorcycle display from HEAVEN’S SAINTS, 1st Annual P.A.W (precious, adorable and well-behaved) dog contest. Concludes with an award recognition ceremony for those who raised the most money by a church, business or individual.
Open Door, a United Way agency as well as an affiliate of the South Georgia Conference/United Methodist Church, provides a variety of social services for all ages, including a showering program for the homeless.
