More about Julie Baumgardner is the President and Executive Director of First Things First, an award-winning grassroots organization dedicated to strengthening families in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The success of the FTF initiative has sparked interest in duplicating the FTF model in cities across the country and internationally. Right from the Start is one of those programs.
As a passionate advocate for healthy marriage and family, Mrs. Baumgardner frequently speaks on these issues both locally and nationally. She has a weekly column on family issues in the Chattanooga Times-Free Press and hosts a weekly talk show on public television, First Things First with Julie Baumgardner, discussing topics relevant to marriage and family.
She has spoken in front of our nation’s leaders in Washington, DC, while also providing leadership for numerous regional and local programs. She is currently the board chair for the National Association for Relationship and Marriage Education.
Mrs. Baumgardner has been honored numerous times for her service and leadership. She is married to Jay and they have a nineteen-year-old daughter, Ashley.
