Parents who lie about their address to get their children into Muscogee County Schools could end up in prison. The school district says they are cracking down on parents who are sending kids that don’t belong in the district, to their schools.
County School Board chair Cathy Williams explains, “People that live in this district pay for the services, people that lie and send their kids to school here is stealing. f they want to send their child here they need to pay tuition.”
Tuition for Georgia students who live outside of Muscogee County is $2,523 a year.
