The Plein Air Paint Out, Art Show and Sale benefits the not-for-profit Ida Cason Callaway Foundation in its mission to offer fine arts, educational and horticultural programs. Some of the country’s most talented plein air (“open air”) artists will convene at Callaway Gardens and the surrounding area to capture glorious Spring landscapes on canvas. Visitors can watch these world-class painters in action, then browse and purchase their finished works at the weekend Art Show and Sale. Observe artists painting en plein air throughout Callaway Gardens and other local gardens and outdoor areas.
Friday, April 19: Collectors Preview Reception
Be among the first to see the prized paintings, congratulate the artists and purchase an original work for your home.
Saturday, April 20: Quick Draw Competition
Watch artists make a subject come to life at this timed event in Downtown Pine Mountain. Works will be displayed and made available for purchase afterward.
Saturday, April 20-Sunday, April 21: Art Show and Sale
The Callaway Discovery Center’s Exhibit Hall opens to the public.
