The winter woods may seem brown and lifeless, but nothing could be farther from the truth.
Come join us for a winter hike to “look for green.” We’ll explore the Cason J. Callaway Memorial Forest, from a clear spring-fed creek to the upland hardwood forest on top of Pine Mountain. Along the way we’ll search for plants and animals that not only survive the hostile winter conditions, but thrive in them.
Wear sturdy hiking boots and pack a light lunch and plenty of water for the trail. Directions sent with confirmation letter.
