Literacy Alliance is in need of volunteer Reading Buddies for their Kindergarten Readiness Program at four local elementary schools. The Kindergarten Readiness Program consists of eight weeks of daily one-on-one interaction with selected pre-k students to increase their vocabulary and create the desire to learn.
Volunteers are asked to commit one hour once a week for eight weeks. Volunteering opportunities are Monday through Friday between 8 am – 10:30 am. Volunteers will be required to submit to a background check. If you are interested in volunteering or would like additional information, please send an email to Brandy Tolbert at [email protected].
