Take me out to the ball game!
It’s that time of year to sign up for Challenger Little League Baseball. But just because a child has a mental or physical challenge, doesn’t mean they can’t play too.
Challenger Little League gives children and young adults (ages 5-18) with mental and physical challenges the opportunity to enjoy the full benefits of Little League Baseball. Any child with a disability can participate.
Teams are set up according to abilities, rather than age, and can include as many as 15-20 players. Every player gets a chance at bat. Also, each child is assigned a “buddy” who assists them on the field as needed. Older kids with disabilities may want to help as a manager or coach’s assistant.
Little Leaguers will have one practice session and one game per week.
Registration Details:
Saturday, February 26 & Wednesday, March 5, 2011
