RiverBlast! Port Columbus’ Largest Living History Event
Each spring, sailors and marines both Union and Confederate gather at Port Columbus for RiverBlast. This living history weekend is Port Columbus’ largest living history event, and draws reenactors from around the country. Featuring weapons demonstrations, cannon firings, skirmishes, event reenactments and scenes from a sailor’s daily life, this event has something for everyone.

Outdoor Program
10 am – 4:00 pm
On the museum’s 9-acre grounds and full scale replica of the USS Water Witch: drills, encampment, cannon firings, and shipboard programming by uniformed Living History Interpreters.
Indoor Program
1:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Rivers to the Past, the theme of this year’s History Now! Museum Theatre Festival presents the seldom told personal stories of the Sailors, Soldiers, and Civilians, both Free and Enslaved who lived, worked, and served along the banks of the Chattahoochee River in Columbus GA and the greater Chattahoochee River Valley during the American Civil War.
