Junior League Run For The Kitchen 5K!
The goal of the Junior League of Columbus‘ Run for the Kitchen is to empower youth to make healthy lifestyle choices and help reverse the growth of childhood obesity and its associated health issues. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Junior League’s programs and support projects that focus on our signature issue, The Healthy Child.
Date: Saturday, March 10, 2012 @ 8AM – 1 mile Fun Run – 8AM | 5K Race – 9AM
Location: CSU Walden Soccer Complex, 4225 University Ave, Columbus, Georgia 31907
Race information: The race will include a 5K and 1 mile fun run for all ages. Pre-registered runners will receive a short sleeve t-shirt. Those who register after March 11th are not guaranteed a T-shirt on race day. Pre-registrants who do not receive a t-shirt on race day may pick up at the Junior League office at a later date. Packet pick-up and day-of registration will begin at 7am. The One Mile run will begin at 8am. The 5K will begin at 9am.
Chip Timing will be provided. All runners are invited to an after party featuring food and music. One mile Fun Run: The top three finishers will receive awards. All Fun Run participants will receive a medal. 5K: The overall top three male/female finishers: age 1-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60+.
