Outdoor Scavenger Hunt for Kids

When the seasons change, it’s a great time to plan an outdoor scavenger hunt for kids. The next time you head out to the park, organize a nature scavenger hunt and watch your little explorers have a blast.

Take a large bag and several small, clear plastic bags to collect the items as you go. A pair of plastic gloves would also be a good idea.

Nature Scavenger Hunt Items:

1. A three-leaf clover
2. An acorn, pecan or walnut
3. A cocoon
4. A pine needle
5. A coin
6. A berry or seed
7. A mushroom
8. 3 leaves of different shapes or colors
9. A feather
10. 2 different types of flowers
11. A beautiful rock
12. A handful of dirt or sand
13. A pine cone
14. A Y-shaped twig
15. Something you think is a treasure
16. A piece of broken glass (take caution in picking it up)
17. A pop can tab
18. A fern frond
19. A plant root
20. A piece of bark
