Caleb two years old and has never walked. The doctors say he never will. He has lost his ability to crawl and is unable to bring himself to a sitting position. His condition is expected to slowly get worse, with no hope for improvement. There is currently no treatment and no cure for this disease: Spinal Muscular Atrophy.
Caleb was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy type 2 on July 1, 2010, just one month after his second birthday.

Help us develop a treatment and cure for Spinal Muscular Atrophy.
Our 1st Annual SMA 5K Eat ‘n Run will be held March 26, 2011 at Hardaway High School in Columbus, GA.
We will also be offering a separate mini-K course on the track. You may choose either course on race day.
Online registration will be available from now until March 24, 2011 at 11:59 p.m. Event day registration will begin at 9:00 a.m., and the race will start at 10:00 a.m. Prizes will be awarded to the 5K winner in each category. Online Event Registration will close on March 24, 2011. Event Day Registration will cost $25. T-shirts are only guaranteed to registered participants. Additional T-shirts will be available for purchase at the event.
