Snow wasn’t in the forecast for the Children’s Miracle Network’s Gingerbread Jubilee but there were many snowflake sightings on November 18th and 19th – 775 to be exact!
Whew! This year’s Gingerbread Jubliee was busier than EVER! Muscogee Moms was on the scene helping children decorate snowflake Christmas decorations that are sure to bring extra sparkle to many Christmas trees this season.
Charlotte and Sara stayed up late hot gluing popsicle sticks together and tying on ribbon.
With the help of a little glue, they were ready for the artists to start decorating with multicolored sequins.
The kids used a couple of methods to apply sequins and we broke them down into three categories. There was The Meticulous Gluer – everything had to line up perfectly, The Pattern Placer – the sequins were strategically applied in a color pattern, and our favorite, The Dump & Shake – a bowl of sequins was dumped onto the glue and a beautiful snowflake miraculously appeared just like a Phoenix rising from the ashes. All methods proved highly effective!!!
Thanks to everyone who stopped by the Muscogee Moms table to craft and visit! We loved seeing your beautiful creations and we hope to see everyone again next year!
