Tax Free Holidays for Back-to-School Savings!
The state of Alabama is offering one tax free weekend event during 2011. It applies mainly to clothing and school supplies and is intended to coincide with parents’ back-to-school shopping needs. By planning ahead, you can help your family save money when you take advantage of Alabama’s tax free weekend. Get those back to school shopping lists ready so you don’t miss your opportunity to save a little cash on the things your kids will need this school year!
Friday – Sunday, August 5 – 7, 2011
The tax-free savings applies to the following items:
Clothing under $100
School supplies under $50
Books under $30
Computers/computer equipment under $750
Sadly, the state of Georgia is not offering a Tax-Free Holiday this year!
