Mark your calendars: August 9th is The Grand Columbus Whitewater Paddle on the Chattahoochee! Join the Georgia Conservancy, Whitewater Express and Uptown Columbus for this whitewater rafting celebration and an after-paddle party in Uptown Columbus with live music, food trucks and SweetWater Brewing Company beer. Every paddler receives a drink ticket for a SweetWater beer or a soft drink redeemable at the after-paddle party.
Choose from 9 different time slots, starting at 10 a.m. – and ending at 5 p.m., including an early morning wake and splash, a mid-afternoon paddle (with the option for a bike ride), and a Highwater afternoon paddle. Children ages 7+ are welcome from 10 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., children 12+ are welcome on the HIGHwater rafting trips. All rafting trips begin at Whitewater Express, 1000 Bay Street, Columbus, GA 31901. Respectively, prices are $20, $25 and $45 per person. All time slots include a raft, paddle, life vest, paddle instruction and transportation from the outpost to the put-in.

Can’t make it on the river? The after-paddle party is free and open to the public. To purchase a SweetWater Beer, guests need a valid ID and a wristband. Wristbands are $5 and include a ticket for your first beer. The after party starts at 5:30 and ends at 8:30 PM.
