Teachers share what they’d like to receive!
Looking for great teacher gift ideas? Wondering what a teacher would like to receive during Teacher Appreciation Day? We asked our fans who are educators to tell us what they really want this time of year. Read on for their suggestions. You may just be surprised!
1. Thank You notes
If you want to hit a home run with your teacher’s “end of the year” gift, have your child write a Thank you note. A handwritten note or letter is, by far, one of the most appreciated gifts a teacher will ever receive.

A note from the child about what that teacher means to him/her or what they have learned. Knowing the impact you’ve made sticks with you a lot longer than any gift. ~ Tisha O.

2. Gift Cards
You can seldom go wrong when you give a teacher a Gift Card – especially to places that they love. Safe bets include a local book store, coffeeshop or Target.

Movie gift cards…I can’t ever afford to go! ~ Ally S.
3. School Supplies
Those School Supplies you donated back in August were gone by October. And odds are, your child’s teacher spent money out of pocket to replace them. A gift of school supplies is always a good choice.

As a teacher any gift is great. Whether it’s a gift card or a letter written by a student. However I did have one student my first year teaching that gave me Wal-mart gift cards. I miss that. ~ Francis G.
4. Chick-fil-A
Teachers are people too, and they need to eat. Consider giving a treat from your nearest Chick-fil-A or a gift card to your teacher’s favorite restaurant. Just make sure you find out your teacher’s preferences first!

5. Anything
Teachers and educators don’t care how much you spend. Ultimately, they are just happy to receive anything that acknowledges their hard work and contribution.
