A weekend of races is planned for November 6-7, 2010, at Callaway Gardens.
November 6 – Twilight 10K run will be through the world famous “Fantasy in Lights,” a holiday light and sound production that is second to none. The event is open to the first 500 registered runners. The 10k Run, in its 12th year, has become one of the most popular qualifiers for the famous Peachtree Road Race each year in Atlanta, Georgia. USATF certified, the 10k is fast and scenic.
Sunday, November 7, features exciting Mountain Bike Races. The Mountain Bike Races are held on the undeveloped Callaway Gardens property, starting and finishing at East Farm Barn. One of the most breathtaking courses in the United States, this location includes some significant climbs and exhilarating descents, while not technical as others. Runners, road-bikers and multi-sport athletes love competing on these trails.
Distances include a First-Timer (6 miles), Beginner (10 miles), Sport (18 miles) and Expert (14 miles). The mountain bike course is open to pre-ride on the Saturday before the event from Noon until 4:00 p.m. It is closed to the public at all other times. The Mountain Bike Races are not open to spectators.
