This is a one of a kind event in a one of kind city! Uptown Columbus is hosting the city’s 2nd annual Dragon Boat Festival, featuring the Uptown Dragon Boat Race down the Chattahoochee River. On Saturday, May 10th 45 teams will be racing from 9 am until 5 pm. The competition will include many local corporate businesses racing against each other, as well as community groups and teams of friends and family!
Teams will also be fundraising as part of the competition. Individuals and teams that raise the most money will be rewarded! The proceeds from the fundraising effort will be benefiting the Children’s Miracle Network at the Columbus Regional Medical Center. Forming a team is easy! Included in your team registration is a practice session where we will show you how to paddle and race. Practices sessions and race day include all of the necessary equipment such as a boat, paddles, life vests, a drum and a steers person/coach.
