Victorian Christmas at the Civil War Naval Museum at Port Columbus now encompasses two weekends – December 1 & 2 and December 8 & 9, 2012!
Admission is free for both weekends.
December 1 & 2:
The first weekend will include a museum theater program telling the stories of sailors examining the Victorian roots of our modern Christmas traditions. There will also be Victorian-era carolers, refreshments, and shopping in the museum store.
December 8 & 9:
The second weekend will be our traditional open house. Our Civil War-era Santa will be on hand for visits and photos (professional photo packages are available for purchase). There will also be Victorian-er carolers, refreshments, a Victorian Vaudeville show and shopping in the museum store.. At the conclusion of the day, Santa will fire the original Civil War cannon from the CSS Jackson!
Both weekends offer guests a unique opportunity to see the museum decorated in traditional Victorian style, enjoy hospitality and snacks from local restaurants, and unique gift shopping opportunities in the Museum store. The Museum is open on Saturdays from 10 am – 4:30 pm and Sundays 12:30 – 4:30 pm and located at 1002 Victory Drive.
