Mark Shaughnessy, a Waverly Hall resident, will be speaking at the Harris County Public Library in Hamilton at noon on Tuesday, October 30 about his memoir on Vietnam. Mark and his brother Don were in Vietnam at the same time but encountered different experiences and outcomes. Their book, Vietnam Remembered Today, highlights the major battles and events from 1950-1973 that dictated the political and military strategies for the war effort. Please join us for an informative and entertaining review of the Vietnam conflict and its impact on our society that continues even today.
