Join us for 2-3 hours as Literacy Alliance get dictionaries ready for the Class of 2023.
Literacy Alliance’s Dictionary Project
Tuesday, October 1 @ 10 am
Columbus Public Library, 3000 Macon Road
Each year Muscogee County School District third grade students are presented with this very important tool and a message about graduating on time and getting a job that they will one day love. Literacy Alliance needs volunteers to help with two activities this day:
- Labeling dictionaries and place them with a pen in a gift bag for students. We start when the doors open at 10:00 am at the Columbus Public Library on Macon Road in the CB&T/Synovus room.
- Transporting dictionaries to the Literacy Alliance office near Columbus Regional Hospital. We need vans, pickup trucks, or any vehicle that can haul boxes. The boxes weigh no more than 10 pounds. Transporting will start around 10:45 am.

Literacy Alliance thanks the Rotary Club of Columbus, club #4119. Without their years of support this program would not be possible. This is the 9th year the Dictionary Project has been presented in our community.
